Christmas is for Children (CIFC) and the 14th Annual Food Drive form a non-profit organization [501(C)(3)]
dedicated to providing all children the love, care and joy that comprise the spirit of Christmas.  We are seeking
organizations and individuals to partner in this exciting and important endeavor by contributing gifts, food, funds
or time.  CISD children and over 1,400 children in the DFW Metroplex, need your help this year more than ever.

About Us
Our Story
In 1991, two social workers answered letters to Santa Claus (found in New York;s "dead letter" box) from the children of four needy families,
making their Christmas wishes come true.  Since then, Christmas is for Children has supported over 40,000 underprivileged children and
their families dealing with poverty, AIDS, domestic violence and substance-abusing parents.  What makes Christmas is for Children unique
is our approach to bestowing charity in a way that our beneficiaries retain their dignity, witnessing the true spirit of Christmas and the very
best of humanity.
How the CIFC Program Works
CIFC prides itself on providing a complete holiday memory for children and families who otherwise would not have a holiday celebration.
Our goal is to fulfill each child's Christmas wish list with something that they want, something that they need and something educational.
Volunteers "sponsor" a child by shopping for items specified on the wish lists and delivering wrapped and tagged gifts to one of several
prearranged drop off sites the first week in December.  We also sponsor and Annual Food Drive from November through December.
Volunteers assemble food baskets and the Agencies we sponsor pick up assembled food baskets and gifts and deliver them to the
designated families just before the holidays.

We are honored to have the assistance of CISD schools support with the following programs:  “The Battle of the Boxes” cereal drive; “Bring
in Your Change and Change a Life” coin drive; “PB & J Contest”; P.A.L.’s (Peer Assistance Leaders) Shopping Trip; “Bundle of  Joy”
Preemie clothing drive.  In partnership with ALTRUSA and local Scout Troops, the “Red Bag Food Drive” helps fill the food baskets.
